Work/ School Balance

I live in a beach area and I have to tell you, I hate it. I also work in a retail pharmacy. Due to this, I’m going to give everyone a piece of very important advice that will save you both money and stress. Pack your meds. Double and triple-check to make sure you’ve packed your meds. There is your PSA for the week.

When working at beach pharmacy it is hard on holiday weeks during the summer. I’m not going to spend this post complaining or anything, but I will say it does take a lot out of everyone, even with an extra day off. I’m just going to say it was a long week and I’m glad it’s over with…until Labor Day comes along.

With my extra day off I had a plan to do homework and pack. Well, best-laid plans and all that. I did do reading for my classes, but that was the extent of it. I ended up in bed doing nothing. I guess the week had gotten to me. I did grill some ribs and watch a few fireworks go off on TV. That was it. That was my big extra day off.

Well, I did do one more thing. I walked down to see my house…or the dirt where my house is going to be. I did that twice because I wanted to see it. I now officially have footers for the trailer, a well, and a septic. I can’t do anything with it, but they’re there. I also found out that in about 10 days my house is shipping. Yay! So I’ve looked at floor plans and planned out where I’m going to put everything, except the microwave. I don’t use it that much so where am I going to put it? I’ll figure it out when I get in I guess.

This weekend was supposed to be filled with homework. My capstone class won’t write my papers for me! I did do my drawing homework, but I’ve been procrastinating on my other. I am almost halfway done and I think the second half will be easy so I keep putting it off and doing other things, like getting sucked into Facebook videos. Why? I have no clue, but I need to buckle down and just get it done.

I’ll finish it, along with the other things on my to-do list. I always do. I always figure it out. I just with I didn’t procrastinate so much. I know, I know, if I’d just do it, then I can play.
