This past week has been a busy and strange week. Monday was a normal Monday: work, school, bed. Nothing new. Tuesday seemed like a normal day until I was leaving work and my check engine light came on. I ended up driving to get it scanned because I needed my car on Wednesday, otherwise my mom would have had to miss things to take me to some important appointments. Thankfully, it was okay to drive, but still needed to be fixed.
Wednesday brought an MRI of my foot and a nerve test. Both were uncomfortable. I don’t have the results of my MRI yet, but my nerve test came back inconclusive. Okay, so it was normal, but he couldn’t test the nerve we suspect was having the issues. The nerve wasn’t cooperating on either foot. I see my podiatrist on Wednesday for the test results and hopefully to schedule surgeries. I did get my new three pairs of glasses, though, so reading is easier.
Thursday came with ups and downs. They ordered the part and it was possible it would be ready for me to go to AWP on Friday as planned, but not likely. Then the part showed up. It was the wrong part. The car wasn’t finished until Friday afternoon, not enough time to go to AWP. I was able to see some of it online, though. I needed to sleep and to do a few things, so it did work out.
Saturday was amazing. I made it to AWP with a friend of mine, and we walked the bookfair, went to a panel, and ended up with too many books. I got nine and a tote. My friend got 13. I was able to talk to some publishers and gain some information. It was a much-needed trip. We decided that once I’m able to do overnight trips, we’re going to go to AWP for the full three days.
Today has been filled with catching up on schoolwork. I finished a rough draft of an essay due Friday and finished my reading for tomorrow’s class. I still have an essay to critique for tomorrow, but I can handle it. I still have some work for Thursday’s class, but I have some time.
