A New Bed

Yesterday was the big day, my bed was delivered. I hate to say this, but that has been the highlight of my week. I don’t know what that says about my life, but I’m happy with it. The delivery drivers were great and warned me that the high of the 20s was going to make it harder, so it needed to thaw out a little. I put the cover on and sprawled out on it. It was hard, but nice. I put my sheets on it, my comforter, and kept lying on it. It’s lower than the old one, but that was because I had about 5 inches of padding. I think Scarlett likes that it’s lower because I can reach her in her bed more easily, but she’s afraid to jump on it. I didn’t sleep all that great, I don’t think, but it’s going to take some time for me to get used to it. I kept waking up on my back, and I am not a back sleeper. I will admit it may have something to do with the energy drink I had in the morning and the coffee I had in the early afternoon. But I have my new, very expensive bed.

On to the rest of the week. My field trip to the library was interesting. I was able to look at a bunch of old pictures, letters, and newspaper articles. It was nice seeing history, but it is interesting to think that what those people were capturing and writing were just things that they did, and now they’re in an archive for people to study. It was cold, but it was nice. I seem to be getting back in the swing of school, though, I guess being there in person helped a lot with that. Thursday’s class was a lot of fun. We discussed essays, writing, and style. I loved it. I worked on my essay while on a break, listening to the teacher talk to another student about essays.

I am starting to tackle the myriad assignments coming up. It seems like a heavy load of assignments at the beginning of the semester, and a lighter load toward the end. They are going to be at least interesting and fun assignments, except for the paper due on theory.

That’s about it for my week, lots of reading, some writing, and work, and this week seems to be following suit. Have a great week!
