The End is in Sight

This week is my last week of classes before exams, which I don’t need to worry about. I have two assignments to turn in for them, which are revisions. One revision is almost done because I don’t need to do too much with it. The other, well, if I can completely rewrite it by tomorrow, I don’t have to go to the exam, which would be great because I’m spending the majority of that day over an hour and a half away at doctor’s appointments and buying a few things that I need, like new sneakers for work.

Yesterday, I was supposed to work on either things around my house or school work. Instead, I did a little bit of school work, slept, watched a movie, and watched television. I needed it. I needed a break, but I also needed to work on my stories. So I feel refreshed today with a lot of work to do, including grocery shopping and possibly getting a new fish because one died.

I just got the very nice surprise of my dog limping around. I gave her a pain pill (she has it on hand for arthritis), but I have no clue what she did. Wrong leg for arthritis. And guess who can’t get her into the vet for a little over a week? I have to work, and my boss is on vacation, so I can’t take time off, and with her history, it’s not an option for anyone to take her. If she can jump up and down from the bed, walk around, and be weight-bearing, I’m going to wait until the appointment she already has in a week. If something changes, I’ll try to figure something out, but she’s getting up to follow me around and wander around the house, so if it were that bad, I don’t think she would be doing that. She tends to overreact sometimes, like a little snow in her pad, and she won’t walk on it.

So, I’m going back to school work and trying to get some things done before I go back to work tomorrow. It’s going to be a long week, but the following week I’m on a stay-cation where I’m scheduling my bunion surgery and having a few checkups because they are due. Stay-cations tend to mean getting stuff done and maybe a day or two of fun.
