Work/ School Balance

Update on my house because I’m sure everyone is on the edge of their seat wanting to know if MY house is move in ready or whatever. I think I’m the only one who actually cares about my house right now because it’s mine. So it was delivered on Tuesday and I spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after work going and being a stalker of my own house. I walked over every day so I could look in the windows and be all shady and creepy. It isn’t move in ready yet and won’t be for a few weeks at least. It doesn’t have the block foundation yet and it doesn’t have electricity. Who am I kidding, it doesn’t even have stairs. It’s going to be a while.

I did have to handle the disappointment of finding out it’ll take the electric company weeks to get me electricity and that holds everything up. I’m trying everything I can to speed things up as much as possible, but there’s going to be a lot of waiting. The electric company is great as far as outages, but super slow with installation. So I wait.

I was able to go inside my put together house and wish I’d spent more time looking around. I missed details, but that’s okay, I’ll get all the details I want in a few weeks, once there are stairs. I had to hop up on my behind to get in and looked like an idiot going in, but it was nice to be able to be inside.

School. Well, school is going, and it’s almost done for the semester. I have a paper and a drawing to do, and then I’m done. Have I been procrastinating some? Yes. Would I love a day where I could just do nothing? Absolutely. Is that going to happen? No. I’ll instead have to put on my big girl pants and get to work. I’m getting close to the finish line and need to keep up my momentum a little longer.

Have I been packing during this procrastination? No. Instead I’ve been writing. So I have been doing something good and something I’d love to spend the day doing, but that isn’t going to happen anytime soon. I’ll get there one day. One day hopefully soon. I need to get back into writing. My readers are itching for more from me and school has taken the front seat in my life. I’ll get there though.
