A Capstone, a House, and Drawing

I started my capstone class about a week and a half ago and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I’ve been dreading it, imagining the worst, and picturing never having a life again. I’m happy to say I was wrong. Is it a lot of work? Yes, but there are no big reading assignments and no papers to write, at least not yet. I instead and rereading old papers, writing summaries of them, and presenting them to the teacher in a Word document.

I was surprised to see a glowing 100 on my first assignment. With this glowing review, I also found an ask from the professor, to use my first assignment as an example on how to do the assignment correctly. I obviously said yes, and I was so happy to find that my hard work was paying off. Now, the reason I was asked this is because I followed the directions completely, but I’ll take any win I can get.

My next class is drawing and I’m sorry to say that I wasn’t prepared for this one. I’m not surprised by the amount of work in the class, but I thought I’d be able to get back into it, but I’m not. I’m finding is a struggle. I didn’t regress though, my drawing isn’t great, but it isn’t as terrible as it started out. It’s going though and I’ll get through the next 6 1/2 weeks.

My house. My house has kind of been put on hold due to school. I’ve purchased a few things here and there and I’ve looked at floorplans, dreaming of where I’m going to put things. As you know, it’s been ordered and it’s been a waiting game. My septic is on the way, the check has been sent and they are going to add me to the schedule. So things have kind of stalled while I wait for the house to arrive.

As a small added note, I have put a few images for sale on Red Bubble if anyone wanted to have a look. You can see my full shop in a few days as the site does its thing, but here’s a link to one of the journals https://www.redbubble.com/i/notebook/Orange-and-Red-Blooming-Flowers-by-Bobbiepalmer/162289800.RXH2R?asc=u if you’d like to check it out!
