I decided to take a drawing class, as I’m sure everyone has seen. Well, here’s the product of six weeks of drawing classes. I’m sure no one can guess what it is because I have pretty much zero drawing talent. Have I improved in six weeks? Yes. Are you able to figure out some things that I’ve drawn? Yes. Are you able to figure out what this is? No. I’ll give you a hint at the end.

I thought it would be fun to learn to draw and I’m not saying it’s not. I also thought it would be an easier class. I was wrong. I’m not going to say it’s a hard class, but it isn’t easy. I can write a fiction story no problem. Give me a topic and some time and I’ll put something together. Give me a graphite pencil and sketch paper and you’ll end up with a lovely-looking blob.
I have learned something in these six weeks and let me tell you, I can’t wait until the next two weeks are over. Don’t take two classes at the same time that are not in your wheelhouse. I like my classes, just not at the same time. The next time I take two classes at the same time I will think harder about what I’m taking. Both require a lot from me and both are not my forte. In three weeks I’ll be starting Advanced Writing and I will be back into my normal swing of things.
In my last artistic class, I finished with a beautiful photograph that I printed on canvas and hung on my wall. Maybe I’ll find a way to hang my blob. I’m very proud of my picture (which is for sale on Etsy) but maybe I should be equally proud of my blob.
I think I’ll hold off on framing my blob, which goes on a pillow (hint, hint), and see what the next two weeks bring. Maybe I’ll get my perfect picture in the next two weeks and be just as proud of it as I am of my beach picture.
If anyone is interested in getting a digital copy of the picture I’m proud of, here’s the link.
